The House of Hanging Gardens is a reconstruction of existing semi-detached house owned by a family of plant lovers whose brief is to design their “dream” house that “recesses” into the lushes of greeneries. The landscape of the house shall take the main outlook of the architecture where the “building form” is made invisible by integrating lush landscape into the facade and ground of the house.

The use of natural materials such as timber, stone, terra cotta, clay bricks, etc, that ages well with time and integrated with the growing plants of the house, the House of Hanging Gardens would give the homeowners an experience of living in the midst of nature that grows and age organically over time.

The preservation of an existing old tree together with terracing lush planters and lush trees planted at multi-levels of the house, the outlook of the house is designed to allow the terracing “Hanging Gardens” to overgrow the architecture of the building in an organic and natural way.
