Singapore American School (SAS) Canteen

The new interior design of the existing High School canteen aims to de-insitutionalize the atmosphere of a canteen and to give it a refreshing new look.

Beyond serving its pragmatic function as a place for food consumption, the new High School canteen is designed to encourage students to socialize and serve as a collaborative learning environment beyond the classrooms.

The new High School canteen……

being centrally located and occupy one of the largest floor area of the High School,

is envisaged as a place for co-learning & collaborative events, and most importantly a place where students and staff could gather and hang around as a social hub beyond classes and classrooms.
