Serviced Apartment along River Valley Road (design to be developed)
OWAA has been appointed to design a new 7-storey serviced apartment block, comprising of 36 numbers of 3/4/5-bedroom units and a rooftop swimming pool deck while the 1st storey is designed to be a fenceless ground with lush greeneries all-round the site. River Valley Road is an old road that runs along the Singapore River, located at the junction of River Valley Road and Jalan Mutiara. Naturally,
the building façade takes inspiration from the flow and ebbs of the Singapore River as well as from the name of Jalan Mutiara where the word “Mutiara” means gem.
This reference of a sharped edged cut gem and of a fluid surface of a river flow poses a dual-character design to this dual-facing building.
OWAA has envisage the building to be compact both on plan and in form where rooms are laid out neatly across 36 units over 6 floors. A 25m long rooftop infinity edge pool crowns the building, with other amenities like a social gymnasium and social kitchen where residents can mingle with one another over food, drinks, fitness and fun. The ground floor is designed to be a fenceless common ground where lush and open greeneries welcome the residents home.
OWAA is appointed the architect and Qualified Person for this new-built serviced apartment block that marks a prominent but once sleepy junction along River Valley Road.
