The “Municipal Quarters” Project is a SLA land tender bid for a co-living operator. The project is located within a row of conservation terrace houses within the Little India Historic District. The “Municipal Quarters” project aspires to be a showcase of how a co-living premise can be a social bridge and physical connector between co-living residents, local communities & local businesses in a setting of green, culture & heritage.

OWAA works with the co-living operator to come up with both the design as well as the programming of the premise, to rejuvenate and restore the conservation buildings and its surrounding under-utilized public spaces. The programming comprises of both permanent public uses like a heritage gallery and heritage walkway and temporary public uses like street bazaars along the alleyway, with an emphasis on conservation, public engagement and sustainability.
