Design Feasibility Proposal for Redevelopment of Cuppage Terrace

Given the age of the shophouses which are currently under-utilized, the Owner of Cuppage Terrace explores the possibility of enhancing the use and optimizing the space usage & planning of the row of 17 conserved shophouses with the introduction of a new hotel development that shall be designed as an

exquisite hotel for the well-travelled millennials in line with URA’s master planning vision of Somerset for the youth.

The design feasibility proposal straddles across a few plots of lands including the adjacent state lands to achieve a seamless and integrated urban space planning to create

a strategic impact in the urban setting of Orchard Road.

The proposed hotel development and public spaces with urban thoroughfare aims to

rejuvenates the heritage enclave of Orchard Road

and showcase the rich history of Cuppage Terrace / Emerald Hill district that aims to be a new social & activity node along the busy street of Orchard Road at the Somerset area.
