The Patio House at Ernani Street

The Patio House at Ernani Street is an intermediate terrace house where the key design solution is to bring daylight and natural ventilation across the depth of the house while maximizing the floor areas without compromising the quality of the interior spaces.

The 1st storey is “elevated and kept light” with high volume space, clerestory windows and minimum physical walls to bring daylight and ventilation deep into the terrace house.

The interior spaces are visually and physically connected where the spaces flow through the entire depth of the terrace house from the front porch to the main living & dining and kitchen at the rear, to allow cross ventilation across the terrace house.

The bedroom spaces with the bathrooms are configured to allow flexibility in combining/reconfiguring the bedrooms to adapt to changing family structures and needs for a multi-generation family.
